We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure the smooth operation of our network systems.
Responsibilities
Assist IT networks, including design, monitoring, support and change management across Microsoft, Cisco and Palo Alto technologies. Ensure the service provider maintains the health, security and availability of the environment.
Maintain the environment, ensuring compliance to needed control frameworks, internal and external audit requirements, and vulnerability scanning. Work with client security specialists and network service providers to review and action all vulnerabilities to maintain compliance (PCI_DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR).
Create and maintain clear and concise documentation of the environment with effective change control and risk control.
Provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and mentoring on the client's enterprise network.
Identify opportunities to improve the technical landscape. Assist in the design, documentation, costing and implementation of new infrastructure solutions.
Support IT project teams to deliver wider IT services and application, ensuring adherence to IT infrastructure best practices and standards.
Assist in IT change board as needed, driving best practice in IT service and change management.
Ensure required security levels on network, infrastructure and servers are maintained.
Support network core, firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, wireless access points and other associated equipment.
Work closely with MSP providers and IT staff to provide outstanding service to our user community.
Ensure data and trend analysis is performed monthly for the infrastructure team.
Qualifications
5 years experience working with LAN, WAN, TCP-IP, and firewalls configuration and admin (Cisco/Palo Alto)
Experience with network security protocols and procedures
Experience operating in an SOC is desirable
Expert level experience in designing and maintaining a secure, resilient and stable distributed environment consisting of 100+ sites, including Microsoft/SQL, PowerShell scripting, server and storage hardware technology (Dell), ASV scans/mediation activities
Bachelor's degree is required. Degree in Computer Science, business or closely related major is preferred.
5+ years of computer processing/application or equivalent experience required.
5+ years of knowledge with network operating systems (LAN/WAN), data and voice communications.
5+ years experience with network design and implementation, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
3+ years of knowledge with SD-WAN technology.
3+ years of knowledge with Cisco security tools such as Cisco Umbrella and Cisco ISE.
1+ years experience with Cloud Networking such as AWS or Azure.
Professional certifications such as CCNP or CCIE is a plus.
The incumbent should have a good attitude, commitment to work and ability to be a team player along with the ability to troubleshoot the following systems: DNS, LAN.WAN Infrastructure, Security Appliances to include Firewalls, VPN, WAF, and Load Balancers.
